Chris Murray, who leads Insight Meditation of the Mid-Columbia, will answer from a primarily scientific perspective. He has 50 years of experience practicing meditation, 20 years teaching it, a PhD in Earth Sciences, and a deep familiarity with the research on mindfulness.

Dr. Gail Johnsen
Gail Johnsen, an ordained minister who teaches at various seminaries, will answer from a primarily Christian perspective. She has over 40 years of pastoral experience, a Doctorate of Ministry, and a book titled “All There” on how attentiveness shapes authentic leadership.
Marcel Ettesvold, a graduate student of philosophy at the University of Edinburgh, will answer from a primarily philosophical perspective. With specialties in ontology, ethics, and AI research, he will speculate on the nature of consciousness and the conceptual frameworks which define "being present."
