Chris Murray, who leads Insight Meditation of the Mid-Columbia, will answer from a primarily scientific perspective. He has 50 years of experience practicing meditation, 20 years teaching it, a PhD in Earth Sciences, and a deep familiarity with the research on mindfulness.

Dr. Gail Johnsen
Gail Johnsen, an ordained minister who teaches at various seminaries, will answer from a primarily Christian perspective. She has over 40 years of pastoral experience, a Doctorate of Ministry, and a book titled “All There” on how attentiveness shapes authentic leadership.
Eric Cunningham, who teaches at Gonzaga University, will answer from a primarily philosophical perspective. He has published books on Catholicism, Zen, Hermeticism, Taoism, and psychedelics. Drawing from his eclectic research, he will speculate on the nature of consciousness and the metaphysical significance of being present.
